Registering with the U.S. Department of State
Students who are U.S. citizens are required to register themselves with the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program before departure from the U.S. In the event of international, political, or family emergencies, or in the event that a passport is lost or stolen, the U.S. Embassy will be much better able to assist registered students.
